In 1991, the first Dining Out for Life event was held by ActionAIDS in Philadelphia. This year marks the 19th anniversary of this important AIDS fundraiser. In the past 19 years, Dining Out for Life has grown to include numerous organizations and restaurants participating in over 45 cities across North America.
Our local event encompasses Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Lehigh Counties in Pennsylvania as well as Burlington, Camden, Gloucester Counties in New Jersey, and northern Delaware. In 2008, over 200 restaurants and 25,000 diners participated and raised more than $250,000 for services in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
