Every year since 1988, ActionAIDS recognizes World AIDS Day on December 1st. For 2011, ActionAIDS is joining AIDS.gov in Facing AIDS. This project is designed to reduce stigma and promote HIV testing by putting a face to AIDS.

The agency has also partnered with Philadelphia Gay News over the last few years to produce a special World AIDS Day 2011 news supplement. This past year focused on the number one issue for people with HIV/AIDS: housing.
