Housing Counseling

Lack of housing and homelessness are the most critical threats facing people living with HIV today. ActionAIDS hired its first Housing Counseling staff in 1991 and now employs 6 counselors who serve over 600 individuals and families each year. The program works to prevent homelessness and promote economic and social self-reliance among individuals with HIV. Services include education, counseling and supports, and access to stable, safe and affordable housing.
